Large Ceramic Vessels in the Garden
These large ceramic vessels are made of rugged high-fire stoneware, a material that is denser and less porous than the terra cotta and other earthenware clays typically used in garden ware. Lidded stoneware pieces can safely be left outdoors year round without the fear of spalling or cracking from absorbed moisture. I always advise my clients that the urns will withstand extreme cold, but not ice inside, and to avoid sudden changes in temperature. With proper placement and careful handling, these monumental vessels will last for generations.
